Secret Play
The purpose of secret play is to detect hidden odds. being bet on a particular horse. It's a known fact that when the horse's connections are going for the money, they want the best odds they can get and try not to telegraph their intentions. There are numerous tote board systems that are designed to detect stable intents, but this is the best I have ever come across. It's unreasonable to expect a secret play every day, but you must always be on the lookout for it. This play occurs during the Daily Double races.RULES for Secret Play
- After the first race has been run, you check the board that post the payoffs for each horse running in the second race.
- DIVIDE the payoff price by the morning line odds for each horse, this will give you the proportionate odds.
- PLAY the horse with the lowest odds after these qualifications.
- DISREGARD the first and second favorites. They have no significance, since they will always be played by the public
- DO NOT Play the race unless the lowest odds showing is at least (4) points lower than the next closest odds.
What you are looking for is a horse with a double digit M/L, which stays near the M/L at post time, yet produces a low number
Long shots will always be bet down when a heavy fav wins 1st leg.
