Night Beat
This show From February 6, 1950, until September 25, 1952, Night Beat, a radio drama series sponsored by Wheaties and Pabst Blue Ribbon Beer, broadcast on NBC. Randy Stone, a reporter for the Chicago Star who covered the night beat and ran into crooks and disturbed souls, was portrayed by Frank Lovejoy. Stone encouraged the audience to accompany him as he "searchs" the city for the bizarre tales hiding in the shadows.
