The Campbell Playhouse

Orson Welles directed and starred in the CBS radio drama series The Campbell Playhouse (1938–1940). It was a sponsored continuation of The Mercury Theatre on the Air, which John Houseman produced. The show featured 60-minute versions of famous plays and novels, as well as certain versions of hit movies.
