One of the final in a long line of high-end Drama shows that NBC offered as flagship, ongoing productions over the years was Radio City Playhouse. NBC didn't appear to spare any budget while mounting these flagship productions, as it had done with its prior premium dramatic and Classic music offerings. And it shows
The cast, music, sound design, and voice talent were all of the highest caliber, as was the case with all of NBC's corporate sustaining shows, from beginning to end. Even the rookies who were featured throughout the three seasons of the show were incredibly brilliant newcomers in their own right.
