Two Thousand Plus SciFi Radio!

The 1950s were when science fiction radio really began to take off. With a particular emphasis on space exploration, 2000 Plus provided a wide range of thrilling stories about the risks associated with emerging technologies.

From March 15, 1950, until January 2, 1952, the Mutual Broadcasting System broadcast the 30-minute American old-time radio program 2000 Plus. It was the first adult science fiction radio program, produced by Dryer Weenolsen, and debuted one month before the more well-known Dimension X.

In contrast to other programs, 2000 Plus used entirely original content and didn't adapt any previously published stories. Sherman H. Dryer, who co-wrote and produced the show with Robert Weenolsen, was the series' creator.
